About The Position

We are seeking a Patient Account Registrar , sometimes referred to as a Hospital Admission Representative . The Patient Account Registrar collects and verifies patient demographic and insurance information while ensuring eligibility, benefits, and authorizations are accurately obtained. The Patient Account Registrar collaborates closely with the Admitting team and communicates effectively with patients across all age groups. Shifts Available : Days Employment Type : Full Time Hours: 8-hour Location : Dallas Medical Center - Farmers Branch, TX Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: Health, dental, and vision insurance options Paid vacation, sick time and holidays Bereavement leave , FMLA and other leave options Employer 401K options Tuition reimbursement options Life, disability, and other insurance options Many other amazing benefits Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): c oordinate with nursing staff, case managers, and physicians to assign beds for incoming patients based on medical needs, availability, and urgency M onitor bed occupancy and status in real-time using hospital information systems act as a liaison between various hospital departments to facilitate smooth patient transfers and optimize bed usage U pdate patient data in the hospital’s electronic medical record (EMR) system to reflect admissions, discharges, and transfers accurately R un reports and analyze bed utilization trends to support hospital operations Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Customer Services experience required. High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required (effective 4/1/14 for all new hires). Requirements
