About The Position

We are seeking a Patient Access Support team member to join our front-line staff. In this role, you will be responsible for completing patient registration, assisting walk-in patients, scheduling appointments, and providing exceptional customer service. You are the first point of contact for patients, and you play a critical role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a patient-centered mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a healthcare office setting preferred
  • Epic experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Check in patients for all appointments
  • Verify accuracy of patient paperwork and demographics
  • Enter patient data into the EHR
  • Receive and process co-payments and payments accurately
  • Maintain front-desk responsibilities and monitor patient flow
  • Identify patients in need of financial assistance and refer to the Financial Advocate
  • Work assigned work queues efficiently
  • Ensure patient charts are accurate and complete, including scanning documents
  • Support the organization’s quality improvement program
  • Ensure UDS data is entered correctly in the EHR
