About The Position

Lead a great team of Patient Access Assistants who are responsible for appointment registration for CentraCare patients, among other functions. This includes positions within the hospital and clinic settings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Post high school business training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of revenue cycle experience or 3 years of leadership experience required.
• Medical terminology preferred.
• Management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of third-party payers, (ADT) admissions, discharges, transfer system preferred.
• Computer knowledge, keyboard skills and other office equipment required.
• Must have working knowledge of all Prelude/ADT/Scheduling/Insurance authorization, referral and RTE.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the training and continuing education needs of Patient Access staff.
• Responsible for coaching staff in all Patient Access areas regarding accuracy and completeness of their work.
• Educating all staff within designated department and floating in other departments as needed.
• Performs registration duties requiring independent analysis, exercise of judgement, and detailed knowledge of all Patient Access departments and hospital procedures related to work performed.
• Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.
• Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.
