The supervisor for Patient Registration and/or Patient Financial Services at Sentara Obici Hospital is responsible and accountable for the daily operations of one or more areas. This role involves supervising staff, coordinating quality and customer service activities, assisting in the development and monitoring of the department budget, coordinating the purchasing and payroll processes, serving as a technical resource to team members, and performing work assignments as needed to provide appropriate coverage and to mentor/assist staff. The supervisor is also responsible for interviewing, hiring, and developing staff with the goal of developing a highly effective work team, and serves as the chief retention officer for their areas of responsibility.
