About The Position

As a Patient Registration Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients checking into the hospital. Your role is critical in creating a positive experience during what can be a stressful time. You’ll combine accuracy and efficiency with empathy—listening carefully to patients’ concerns while ensuring all information is collected correctly.

Requirements

Computer proficiency (typing, navigating multiple systems)
Clear and professional communication
Customer service mindset
Dependability and adaptability
Empathy and patience
No prior healthcare experience required—training provided
Comfortable working in a hospital environment where illness and injuries are present
Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure

Responsibilities

Facilitate Patient Check-In: Register patients quickly and accurately while answering questions and providing reassurance.
Manage Multiple Systems: Work across several computer programs and screens to input patient and insurance details. Comfort with technology and fast typing is essential.
Provide Compassionate Support: Patients may be ill, anxious, or in pain. You’ll ease their concerns by listening actively and asking thoughtful follow-up questions.
Adapt in a Fast-Paced Environment: Expect interruptions for urgent clinical needs and be ready to pivot while maintaining accuracy. This is not a desk-only role—you’ll often be on your feet assisting patients.
