About The Position

The Patient Access Specialist handles all incoming calls efficiently, and in a timely manner for multiple specialties/body parts. He or she is responsible to triage and schedule an appointment with the appropriate provider. SCHEDULE: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 8am - 6:30pm Key Accountabilities: Must meet all KPIs as indicated on Scoreboard. Essential Duties (this list may not include all duties assigned): Answers telephone on ACD line, register patient, screen calls and schedule appointments as suggested by Salesforce. Handles all incoming and outgoing calls to assigned skills. Maintain meeting/exceeding in scorecard metrics. Send detailed messages when required via eCW pool. Must remain up-to-date on specialty team emails and resources. Be active and properly communicate in all assigned team glip messages. Remain aware of providers and mid-levels on all assigned specialties/body parts. Communicate specialty concerns to Specialty Supervisor, all other concerns to direct report Supervisor/Manager. Responds to emergency calls according to established procedures. Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED minimum education requirement
  • One year in specialty
  • Computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office Suite
  • Reliable high-speed internet access and Wi-Fi connection required
  • Must have a minimum of six months of RO Patient Access experience
  • Six months of meeting/exceeding scorecard metrics required
  • Cannot have a written warning in the past six months and/or a final warning in the past year
  • Candidates must reside in DE, FL, GA, MD, NC, NJ, PA, SC, or TX
