About The Position
The Patient Access Specialist is responsible for the collection of registration data to accurately identify, interview, admit and register inpatient and outpatients. This individual will provide exceptional customer service to meet the needs of customers.
Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency utilizing a computer, telephone to include written and verbal communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Successful completion of a vocational technical health unit coordinator, medical office specialist, medical secretary program or related field.
- Successful completion of a medical terminology course.
- Knowledge of medical insurance and one year experience in a healthcare facility including direct patient contact and customer service.
