The Patient Access Specialist performs duties under the direction of the Patient Access Supervisor, focusing on scheduling and assisting patients in accessing Variety Care services across all clinics. This role requires excellent customer service, timely telephone answering, and efficient appointment facilitation, adhering to all operational and clinical guidelines. The specialist communicates with Care teams to support efficient care delivery, is familiar with all clinic services, and provides patient access through scheduling appointments, telehealth services, or connecting patients to key resource departments. The ideal candidate embodies strong personal character, is an open and honest communicator, displays high moral and ethical conduct, integrity, adaptability, and sound judgment. They must be a leader in the department and community, a result-oriented problem solver who is responsible and accountable, and support Variety Care’s accreditation as a Patient Centered Medical Home and its commitment to Safe, Effective, Patient Centered, Timely, Efficient, and Equitable care.
