The Patient Access Specialist In Oncology is responsible for performing duties associated with Oncology, Infusion Center, Phone Screening, Patient Access, and Intake of New Patients and must have an understanding of registration, insurance, and authorizations. This position must be able to interact with patients face to face in a busy office setting. The Patient Access Specialist II must be able to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. They are responsible for verifying insurance and obtaining appropriate authorizations for procedures ordered by the providers. Patient Access Specialists MUST interact in a customer-focused and compassionate manner to ensure patients and their representatives' needs are met. Outstanding customer service and patient experience skills are required.
