About The Position

The Patient Access Representative is responsible for accurate collection of registration data for clinical care and reimbursement purposes. This individual verifies insurance coverage, gathers patient demographic information, obtains required forms and performs cash collection. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated proficiency utilizing a computer, telephone to include written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Successful completion of a vocational technical health unit coordinator, medical office specialist, medical secretary program or related field.
• Successful completion of a medical terminology course.
• Knowledge of medical insurance and one year experience in a healthcare facility including direct patient contact and customer service.
