About The Position
Saint Luke’s Community Hospital in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join our team. You will conduct professional patient interviews, obtaining demographic, financial, and biographical information. This position is responsible for the delivery of quality performance and service excellence. This position will will float to locations in Roeland Park, Leawood, and Kansas City, KS. Shift Details: PRN - 12 Hour shifts We are looking for someone that is excited about working with people and has a positive attitude. - Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year

Responsibilities
- Understands insurance terminology
- Obtains information to appropriately bill payors
- Verifies patient insurance eligibility
- Confirms benefits eligibility
- Gather statistical information in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Completes payment transactions by using proper negotiating techniques to professional collect money owed by our Patients and Guarantors
- Makes referrals to appropriate financial resources, such as payment plans and lines of credit
