About The Position

Join our incredible team at Kingman Pulmonary Associates as a Patient Access Representative! This integral administrative role plays a crucial part in maintaining the utmost organization and efficiency within our medical office. Position Purpose: As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for providing essential clerical support and ensuring a seamless patient registration process. This entails verifying benefits, facilitating patient discharges, collecting copays or payments, maintaining accurate account balances, and performing general data entry tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Minimum of 1 yr of experience working in a customer services position and/or office setting
  • Able to reach above and below shoulder level, lift, bend, kneel, squat, stand, walk, and sit for the full scheduled shift
  • Able to use business office equipment/computer
  • Expected duties have, but not routine exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent customer service completing the registration process for patients.
  • Confirms patient demographic information, verification of benefits, scheduling and coordinating post discharge care for patients, collection of copays or payments, balancing of accounts, and general data entry.
  • Preregister, register, schedule, reschedule, and discharge patients according to the defined guidelines.
