We’re hiring a PRN (Casual / As-Needed) Patient Access Representative to support one of our Kalispell-area clinics. This role is ideal for someone with a background in customer service, front office, administrative support, or hospitality who wants great work–life balance while making a real difference in patients’ experiences. 💙 Why This Role Matters As a Patient Access Representative, you are the first impression. You’ll be the welcoming face and friendly voice patients see when they arrive—setting the tone for a positive, supportive visit from the very start. You’ll help patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for while keeping clinic operations running smoothly.

Requirements

  • Can handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
  • Enjoy learning new systems and processes
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service preferred
  • Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office, and learning new software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare registration, scheduling, insurance verification, billing, financial clearance, or medical assisting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally—making them feel welcomed and valued
  • Collect, verify, and update patient demographic and insurance information
  • Prioritize patient registrations based on acuity and clinic workflow
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits using verification software
  • Explain out-of-pocket costs clearly and compassionately
  • Collect and process payments in accordance with policies
  • Identify self-pay patients and refer them to financial counseling as needed
  • Maintain working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans
  • Support clinic operations with general administrative assistance
  • Communicate opportunities for service improvements to leadership
  • Take pride in accuracy, productivity, and delivering exceptional customer service
