About The Position

The Patient Access Representative is responsible for providing professional reception and scheduling services to patients, visitors and staff in a growing clinic setting. Applicants should have 5-star service standards, be detail orientated and able to multi-task and problem solve. This position works closely with patients, providers and clinic nursing staff to ensure a well-rounded care experience for patients. It is the first point of contact for patients and visitors, which makes this position an integral part of the care team. Requirements

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Experienced in customer service or healthcare settings.
  • Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) and other digital tools.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with electronic health records and computer systems.
  • Ability to multitask with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Onboarding and Registration: Ensure smooth patient registration, collect necessary information, and reduce wait times.
  • Insurance and Financial Guidance: Verify insurance coverage and explain financial responsibilities.
  • Appointment Management: Schedule and coordinate appointments, manage cancellations, and send reminders.
  • Patient Support: Educate and assist patients throughout their care journey, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Data Accuracy and Compliance: Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in patient records, adhering to HIPAA and clinic policies.
  • Customer Service: Respond to patient feedback, address access issues, and ensure a positive patient experience.
