What You'll Do As a Patient Access Representative, you'll be a key player in ensuring smooth, efficient, and compassionate care from the moment a patient walks through our doors. Your responsibilities will include:
Requirements
- A strong communicator—both in person and in writing
- Calm under pressure and great at multitasking
- Friendly, professional, and committed to excellent service
- High school diploma or GED required; medical terminology courses a plus
- 2+ years in a hospital or physician office preferred
- Familiarity with registration and billing processes preferred
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in scheduling, patient accounts, unit clerk, or MA roles a bonus
Responsibilities
- Scheduling appointments and verifying insurance
- Registering patients and managing referrals
- Handling phone calls and point-of-service collections
- Maintaining accurate records and protecting patient privacy
- Supporting financial outcomes and patient satisfaction
