About The Position

Generations Family Health Center, Inc. is a regional community health center covering a thirty seven town rural region in eastern Connecticut with sites located in Willimantic, Danielson, Norwich and Putnam. Our dedicated staff provides a full range of primary care services to all ages including medical, dental and behavioral health care, as well as care coordination and community outreach. In addition to our main facilities, we offer mobile programs and School Based Health Centers. The position is located in Putnam, CT within the Dental Department.

Requirements

• High school diploma; post-secondary school education preferred
• Typing and computer skills essential
• Familiarity with medical/dental terminology and billing procedures
• Experience in a medical/dental office is helpful
• Detail-oriented and able to handle multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients
• Answering phone calls
• Scheduling appointments
• Obtaining information from patients
• Posting procedures
• Collecting fees
• Providing excellent customer service
• Working as a team with multidisciplinary staff including dental, medical, health support, and community program staff
