About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Entry-level position, healthcare experience preferred.
• Patient registration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, greet, pre-register, and register patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Verify insurance benefits and check for authorization and pre-certification.
• Obtain patient signatures for required forms and collect patient financial responsibility when necessary.
• Communicate revenue cycle related issues to patients and hospital colleagues.
• Acknowledge patients and their families in a pleasant manner upon arrival and process necessary information to minimize wait times.
• Direct patients to appropriate areas and provide escort when necessary.
• Utilize professional communication skills to promote customer satisfaction and efficiency in processing departmental information.
