About The Position

The Patient Access Representative, Lead is responsible for coordinating the registration process for Patient Access, which includes scheduling, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining patient data. This role provides leadership to department staff and ensures a smooth patient check-in process while managing financials and employee attendance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of experience in a patient access role or similar administrative role performing patient registration and/or scheduling.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to handle problems and stressful situations professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to department staff, including coaching and managing corrective actions.
  • Facilitate patient check-ins and verify insurance eligibility.
  • Manage patient financials using Experian.
  • Manage employee time and attendance in Kronons.
  • Participate in hiring, evaluation, and peer review processes.
  • Hold Bill/Denial Management.
  • Perform data integrity audits.
