The Patient Access Representative is responsible for duties in support of departmental efficiencies, which may include performing scheduling, registration, patient pre-admission and admission, reception, and discharge functions. This role requires obtaining complete and accurate patient demographic information and employing proper, compliant patient liability collection techniques before, during, and after the date of service. The representative greets patients following Conifer Standards of Care, provides world-class customer service, and completes full patient registration at the date of service. They must adhere to financial and cash control policies and procedures, thoroughly explain and secure hospital and patient legal forms, and scan Protected Health Information. Additionally, they may assist with scheduling diagnostic procedures and educate patients about financial liabilities.
