About The Position

Baptist Beaches is currently hiring for a Full-Time Patient Access Rep II to join our Registration Team at our Baptist Beaches location here in the Jacksonville, FL area. This Patient Access Rep II will be responsible for registration for patients, collecting co-payments, admitting patients, and updating insurance and demographics.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1-2 years Customer Service Experience required.
• 1-2 years Insurance Experience required.
• 1-2 years Healthcare Experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately register all patients and update demographic and insurance information for maintenance of accurate information.
• Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas.
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters.
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually.
• Collect co-payments, self-pay deposits, and any other form of account payments from patients.
• Provides face to face customer service while communicating in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the PAS department, while Mission and core values are incorporated and practiced.
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms.
• Receives and disseminates clinical information as indicated.
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Certification.
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members.
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO.
