The Patient Access Representative is responsible for duties in support of departmental efficiencies, which may include performing scheduling, registration, patient pre-admission and admission, reception, and discharge functions. This role requires obtaining complete and accurate patient demographic information and employing proper, compliant patient liability collection techniques before, during, and after the date of service. The representative greets patients following Conifer Standards of Care, provides world-class customer service, completes full patient registration at the date of service, and adheres to financial and cash control policies and procedures. They also explain and secure hospital and patient legal forms, scan Protected Health Information, and create and file patient information packets for upcoming hospital services. Additionally, they may assist with scheduling diagnostic procedures and educate patients about financial liabilities while performing hospital cash reconciliation and secured payment entry.
