About The Position

Requirements

  • Relevant customer service experience in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Preferably 1 year of experience in patient registration, scheduling, or clerical/customer service roles in a medical or healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in data entry with attention to accuracy and speed.
  • A dedication to providing outstanding service and a positive experience for patients and families.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients and caregivers, providing a warm and supportive environment.
  • Perform financial clearance, insurance verification, and obtain necessary precertifications or authorizations.
  • Ensure accurate entry of patient demographic, billing, and clinical information into the registration system in a timely manner.
  • Communicate and coordinate with clinical staff and other departments to ensure smooth patient placement and care.
  • Address patient and caregiver questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy, explaining processes clearly.
  • Collect payments such as co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance, or refer patients to financial counselors for assistance.
