About The Position

Generations Family Health Center, Inc. is a regional community health center covering a thirty seven town rural region in eastern Connecticut with sites located in Willimantic, Danielson, Norwich and Putnam. Our dedicated staff provides a full range of primary care services to all ages including medical, dental and behavioral health care, as well as care coordination and community outreach. In addition to our main facilities, we offer mobile programs and School Based Health Centers. The Patient Access Representative position is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week, and is located in the Behavioral Health Department in Putnam, CT. Major job duties include greeting patients, answering phone, scheduling appointments, obtaining information from patients, posting procedures, and collecting fees. Must provide excellent customer service and work as a team with multidisciplinary team including dental, medical, health support, and community program staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma; post-secondary school education preferred.
• Essential typing and computer skills.
• Familiarity with medical/dental terminology and billing procedures.
• Experience in a medical/dental office is helpful.
• Detail-oriented and able to handle multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
