About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our healthcare team. This vital role serves as an important point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth experience while managing administrative processes related to patient benefits and insurance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting or patient registration/payment collecting role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Knowledge of insurance plans, billing procedures, and medical terminology
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Collect and update patient demographic and insurance details accurately
  • Gather, explain financial responsibilities, and collect payment for patients needing to be scheduled for surgical procedures
  • Build estimates for durable medical equipment as well as in-office procedures (utilizing Rivet software)
  • Schedule appointments in times of high-volume calling periods
