The Patient Access Representative is responsible for a variety of duties necessary to register and pre-register patients, ensure eligibility, verify insurance, issue Advanced Beneficiary Notices and order ancillary testing. The duties performed will illustrate what is best for the patients as well as the development of awareness and cooperation reflecting the interrelationship of departments in caring, comforting, and healing the sick and injured. In addition to registration and verification duties, this role also includes serving as a trainer to staff, providing onboarding education, workflow instruction, and continued support to ensure quality and consistency across the department.
