About The Position

Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities Responsible for monitoring daily call center efficiency Maintain departmental processes by ensuring quality assurance Serve as a subject matter expert by supporting staff and downstream departments Responsible for the on-boarding of new hires Manage a high volume of incoming and outgoing telephone calls Accurately schedule and re-schedule patient appointments in a timely manner Accurately pre-register specific data elements prior to the patients scheduled date of service Effectively communicate and coordinate patient appointments with downstream departments Add insurance coverage and update the billing system to reflect the insurance status of the patient Responsible for completing assigned work queues Alter clinic schedules in electronic medical record (EMR) Assist with departmental coverage as requested At Scottish Rite for Children, we work together with the common goal of helping give children back their childhood. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm required
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multi-line phone system and headset needed
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of child development in order to communicate effectively with infant, toddler, preschool, school age and adolescent children as well as their families and adults
  • Good computer and public relations skills needed

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Medical appointment scheduling experience preferred
  • Knowledge of hospital call center duties are helpful
