About The Position

The Patient Access Representative position at Endeavor Health is responsible for providing timely and accurate pre-registrations, registrations, order management, charge capture, cash collection functions, and medical information systems for in-patient, out-patient, emergency room, immediate care, and same day surgery patients. This role requires interaction with patients and their families to ensure their needs are met and to explain the hospital's revenue cycle expectations. The position is part-time, with hours from 1:30 PM to 7:30 PM, Monday to Friday, and every other weekend from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM on Saturday and Sunday.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree in business or healthcare preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for off-site duties.
• Minimum one to two years of experience in registration, scheduling, patient accounts, cash collections, or customer service in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of health insurances, medical terminology, and anatomy.
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate pre-registrations and registrations for patients.
• Manage orders and charge capture functions.
• Collect and analyze demographic, insurance/financial, and clinical data.
• Screen for third-party eligibility and enter medical necessity coding.
• Interact with patients and families in a customer-focused manner.
• Ensure understanding of the hospital's revenue cycle expectations.
