About The Position

The Patient Access Specialist-Registration role primarily involves processing patient registrations accurately and efficiently, ensuring all pertinent data is collected at the point of entry. This position requires constant engagement with patients and their representatives, handling sensitive information with discretion and adhering to privacy protocols. Challenges include navigating high-stress situations and managing complex data under tight deadlines. The specialist collaborates closely with billing, coding, and other registration staff to enhance registration accuracy and address discrepancies. A typical day involves multitasking between direct patient interactions, document management, and intra-departmental communication, all aimed at maximizing both operational efficiency and patient satisfaction. In Hospital Admitting at CRMC, we are the first point of contact for patients and our team ensures that every patient encounter is smooth, accurate, and stress-free. We complete much more than just an administrative function, we set the tone for the patient's entire healthcare journey, helping them feel supported, informed, and cared for from the very start. What makes Hospital Admitting unique is our ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Every day, we navigate insurance verifications, scheduling changes, and unexpected patient needs, all while providing compassionate customer service. Our team operates on the belief that a positive attitude, teamwork, and flexibility make all the difference-not just for patients, but for each other.
