About The Position

Plans, coordinates, and directs daily operations of the Acute Rehab and Inpatient Rehab Therapies departments ensuring cost effective, efficient, and high quality rehabilitation services. This position provides leadership, supervision and oversees training of staff to promote professional growth and technical development. Also, promotes and maintains interdisciplinary relationships to support clinical services and educational opportunities. Performs clinical care as needed to include evaluation of patients referred for therapy to assess function and identifies barriers to discharge. Develops, communicates, coordinates, implements, monitors and revises treatment plan with goal of maximizing patient’s capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology.
• Current NC license.
• BCLS for healthcare providers or completion of BCLS from the American Heart Association within three months of employment date.
• Three years of clinical practice in treating patients in in-patient hospital setting.
• Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology.
• Master’s degree in administration or management.
• Three years supervisory experience.
