About The Position

Join Our Patient Access Team at Cottage Hospital Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about helping patients feel welcomed and supported? Cottage Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Patient Access Registrar to provide flexible, as-needed coverage across our Patient Access Department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, works well independently, and takes pride in creating a smooth, positive experience for patients and visitors from the very first interaction. What You’ll Do Greet and assist patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion Register patients accurately in the electronic health record system Verify insurance eligibility and update demographic information Schedule appointments and follow-up visits as directed Collect, post, and reconcile patient payments Answer phones, screen calls, and provide general information Manage the Welcome Desk independently while multitasking effectively Support department operations by covering scheduled and unscheduled absences, including holidays What We’re Looking For Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy Excellent customer service and communication skills Comfort working in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience with registration systems or electronic health records preferred Willingness to provide flexible, as-needed coverage (including holidays) 👉 If you’re looking for a flexible role where your work truly makes a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
