What you’ll do: As a Regional Quality Assurance Specialist, you will support key operational and performance initiatives across Trinity Health by leveraging your advanced knowledge of Patient Access and Revenue Cycle processes. You’ll research, collect, and analyze data to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and recommend improvements that enhance program efficiency, quality, and patient experience. In this role, you will: Analyze data and prepare detailed summaries, trends, and graphical reports to support decision-making. Lead performance improvement efforts to strengthen registration accuracy, quality, and compliance. Monitor and evaluate hospital registration performance, identify vulnerabilities, and support corrective/preventive actions. Develop reports, educational materials, and process documentation using multiple system applications. Support onboarding and ongoing education for new and current colleagues; serve as a peer influencer and resource. Apply knowledge of Trinity Health policies, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines to ensure safe, ethical, and compliant practices. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or equivalent education and experience
  • Five (5) years of hospital Patient Access experience
  • Strong working knowledge of insurance, government programs, billing processes, and registration workflows
  • Ability to analyze data, create reports, and present findings to support operational decisions
  • Understanding of Revenue Cycle KPIs and ability to identify quality and performance risks
  • Experience with Cadence, Prelude, Referral applications strongly preferred
  • Mastery in scheduling and insurance verification for at least three modalities (3+ years acute care scheduling experience)
  • Experience training others on Patient Access processes and systems

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications preferred: AAPC, AHIMA, HFMA, AAHAM, NAHAM
  • Experience with Cadence, Prelude, Referral applications strongly preferred
