About The Position

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for healthcare operations and team development? We’re seeking an experienced Patient Access Manager to oversee registration processes and patient access functions across multiple hospital entry points. This is a high-impact role where you’ll lead a team, drive operational excellence, and ensure a seamless patient experience.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of healthcare supervisory experience (hospital or physician practice).
  • Strong understanding of Revenue Cycle Management and patient access workflows.
  • Ability to lead independently with confidence and resilience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare information systems and operational metrics.

Nice To Haves

  • Clear understanding of admitting, clinical, and financial areas.
  • Ability to manage budgets and drive cost efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills for both oral and written interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on-site leader managing 20 direct reports across 5 key entry points: ER, Radiology, Main Registration, Lab, and Medical Office Building.
  • Oversee patient registration processes, including pre-service and point-of-service financial clearance activities.
  • Develop and implement strategic action plans for short- and long-term goals.
  • Manage operational metrics to meet service level agreements and budgetary guidelines.
  • Lead staffing activities: hiring, training, performance management, and mentoring supervisors.
  • Foster staff engagement and alignment with organizational mission and goals.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and provide solutions for process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
