About The Position

The Patient Access Manager-Scheduling is central to harmonizing clinic operations by managing appointment systems across multiple sites, ensuring seamless patient and provider interactions. This role involves comprehensive oversight of daily functions including staffing decisions, training, and the effective resolution of issues pertaining to patients, staff, and operations. Collaboration with various department heads and staff is crucial to optimize scheduling practices and maintain efficient communication channels. The position demands a robust understanding of compliance and confidentiality standards, particularly with regards to HIPAA. Successful management also includes developing and refining operational policies and procedures to continually enhance service delivery and staff performance.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Medical Secretary, Medical Office Administration or Health Information Program -OR- comparable experience in a healthcare, reception or office setting
  • Three years of related experience in a health care setting -OR- two years supervisory experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Customer service focused and professional
  • Detail-oriented with accurate data entry skills
  • Resilient and adaptable multitasker
  • Discreet with sensitive patient information
  • Familiar with medical terminology and systems
  • Resourceful with strong problem-solving ability
