About The Position

The Patient Access Lead serves as a resource to the Supervisor/Manager by providing expert guidance to caregivers, monitoring assigned area, training and mentoring team members and identifying and implementing workflow improvements. The Patient Access Lead has the knowledge and skills to perform all duties required by their assigned area.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Participate in Preceptor training/experience post-hire.
  • Interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in stressful situations and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Patient Access procedures.
  • Ability to embrace change and adapt to job duty variances.
  • Engage in continuing education and seek new knowledge and skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years' experience with medical terminology, insurance plans, verification of benefits, authorization and pre-determination.
