The Patient Access Intern will understand the full umbrella of Patient Access services; Scheduling functions and registration (Check In/Out) including regulatory and compliance procedures. This intern will gain a clear understanding of insurance verification/financial clearance requirements and authorizations - Partnering closely with practice operations, patient experience and revenue cycle. This internship offers a great opportunity to understand Patient Access KPI's and metrics each team is responsible within their role and team. The Children's Summer Intern program allows interns the opportunity to gain hands-on experience related to their field of study by working on meaningful projects alongside Children's professionals. Intern responsibilities may include project management, event planning and support, logistics, data base management, research, and analysis. Interns may explore career paths and apply for full-time positions upon successful completion of the program.
