This position offers a $1,200 new hire sign-on bonus for new hires and rehires termed more than 1 year. The role requires working 32 hours with evening/night shifts from 3:30pm - 12:00am and 11:15pm - 7:15am, including weekend and holiday rotation at Tobey Hospital - Wareham, MA.

Requirements

  • Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional courses or training required; Associates Degree preferred.
  • Medical Terminology Certificate required.
  • Demonstrated communication & interpersonal skills are required.
  • Strong computer skills including medical based programs required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, and other software programs is preferred.
  • Three (3) years related health care experience including working with third party payers is required.
  • CHAM (Certified Healthcare Access Manager) or CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate) preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of duties to facilitate patient access throughout the organization.
  • Ensure patient compliance with applicable hospital policy and obtain accurate patient information to ensure patient safety and optimal reimbursement to the organization.
  • Determine and actively collect patient liabilities.
