This position offers a $900 new hire sign-on bonus for new hires and rehires termed more than 1 year. The role requires 24 hours of work with flexible shifts including 10:30am - 7:00pm and 3:00pm - 11:30pm, along with weekend and holiday rotation. The location is Tobey Hospital - Wareham, MA.

Requirements

• Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional courses or training required; Associates Degree preferred.
• Medical Terminology Certificate required.
• Demonstrated communication & interpersonal skills are required.
• Strong computer skills including medical based programs required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, and other software programs is preferred.
• Three (3) years related health care experience including working with third party payers is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons.

Nice To Haves

• CHAM (Certified Healthcare Access Manager) or CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of duties to facilitate patient access throughout the organization.
• Ensure patient compliance with applicable hospital policy and obtain accurate patient information to ensure patient safety and optimal reimbursement.
• Determine and actively collect patient liabilities.
