About The Position

The Patient Access Coordinator at Overlake Medical Center is responsible for providing exemplary customer service to patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth registration process. Requirements

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Formal training in medical terminology, hospital finance, and customer relations preferred.
• Previous admission/registration experience or frontline customer contact experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Demonstrated customer service skills required.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to interview and educate patients.
• Knowledge of financial requirements of insurances, HMO, and PPO organizations.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Intermediate level typing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and orient patients and visitors to the hospital.
• Interview patients to collect complete demographic and financial data for registration.
• Collect appropriate payments and obtain necessary signatures.
• Notify patients and guests of hospital regulations, policies, and services.
• Educate and advise patients on how to access the healthcare system.
