Provides secretarial and office clerical support to a team of physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers within the Labor & Delivery unit. The role involves greeting patients and family members, registering patients, answering and directing telephone calls, obtaining and verifying insurance information, scheduling appointments, and updating patient dispositions. The Patient Access Coordinator serves as the unit's centralized focus of administration, information, and communications during the assigned shift, performing other duties as needed.
