As a Patient Access Coordinator, you will organize the activities and workflow of the Patient Access area. This role will allow you to create a foundation in healthcare and explore opportunities at Cleveland Clinic. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of Cleveland Clinic outpatient scheduling experience or equivalent, including interacting with patients, physicians, and other departments on a problem resolution basis OR three years of external outpatient scheduling experience, including resolving patient scheduling and the coordination of the work of others OR Associate Degree and one year of experience OR Bachelor's Degree

Responsibilities

  • Organize and coordinate the activities and flow of work for the patient access area.
  • Develop, implement and oversee programs to improve appointment utilization such as reminder, follow-up on no-show/cancellation program.
  • Coordinate activities and resolve operational problems.
  • Adjust employees, patients and physicians' schedules to respond to operational problems.
  • Control and audit the reconciliation of day sheets including adjusting statistics in the computer data bank.
  • Produce reports as needed.
