The Patient Access Clerk at Liberty Hospital's Birthing Center is responsible for attending to the reception desk, performing clerical and reception duties. This role includes requisitioning supplies, equipment, and services, as well as supporting processes to maintain the functionality and integrity of the Medical Record. The clerk will interview patients and/or their families to review all demographic and financial data necessary to accurately complete the registration process.

  • Attend to the Birthing Center reception desk.
  • Perform clerical and reception duties.
  • Requisition supplies, equipment, and services.
  • Support processes to maintain the functionality and integrity of the Medical Record.
  • Interview patients and/or families to review demographic and financial data for registration.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Six (6) months' clerical or customer service experience in a front face office setting or retail environment.
  • Six (6) months' recent unit secretary/ward clerk experience.
  • Prior clerical experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Typing skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
