Patient Access Associate - Hospital Registration
About The Position
The Hospital Registration Patient Access Associate is responsible for accurately identifying patients and conducting detailed registration interviews including capturing demographic, insurance and contact information. Patient Access Associates admit, check in and register patients of all ages and backgrounds and are exposed to sensitive patient and visitor situations. Work is performed in an office setting, at the bedside or in the clinical care environment. Per diem - flexible and varied schedule. Availability for 3-4 shifts per month required. Shift days and times vary and may include first, second, or third shift. Ideal for candidates seeking a flexible, as-needed schedule with no guaranteed hours.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Related experience in healthcare or customer service is preferred.
- Computer and data entry experience is required with Microsoft Word, e-mail, and internet communication, as well as the ability to work accurately and effectively with electronic systems.
