The Patient Access Associate ensures each registered patient has a complete and accurate OSF medical record. This includes patient demographics, insurance coverage, responsible guarantor, and registration precision, all while ensuring the patient understands the services they are receiving, their financial responsibilities, and expectations while at the facility. The role demands excellent patient service skills to create an exceptional first impression of OSF’s services to patients, families, and other external contacts, whether over the phone or in person. A high degree of deductive reasoning and logic skills are necessary to solve issues that can arise in complex, multi-payer situations.
