As our Patient Access Associate, you will be a part of the Emergency Department (ED) Patient Access Registrar. Every day you will be responsible for performing timely, accurate registration of patients while supporting rapid access to care. The role blends empathy with effectiveness by promptly registering patients, ensuring there are no delays in their clinical assessment or treatment. Responsibilities

  • Perform quick and accurate registrations to support immediate patient care
  • Complete full registration once the patient is medically stable
  • Collect and verify insurance information when appropriate and without delaying care
  • Obtain signatures for required forms (consents, HIPAA, financial documents)
  • Provide estimates and collect co-pays when applicable (non-emergent scenarios)
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate and complete for billing and legal standards
