  • Greets patients, guests, and family members.
  • Schedules patients for services with appropriate providers at appropriate locations and desired times.
  • Analyzes current patient information to avoid duplicating records.
  • Creates accounts for all patients seeking services.
  • Registers patients by entering accurate demographic, financial class, and insurance information.
  • Activates scheduled accounts according to registration policy.
  • Resolves work queue errors in a timely manner.
  • Ensures all required forms are completed and accurate.
  • Performs insurance verification tasks.
  • Completes messages for providers using the In-Basket messaging system.
  • Updates Electronic Medical Records with patient account information.
  • Performs financial analysis of each case and informs patients of their financial responsibilities.
  • Attempts to collect payment at the point of service.
  • Provides information on financial assistance programs.
  • Maximizes point-of-service collection to meet registration goals.
  • Answers incoming calls and transfers calls to appropriate areas.
  • Schedules and reschedules appointments as needed.
  • Balances cash drawer daily and prepares cash logs.
  • Follows facility cash drawer policy and meets job-related requirements.
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent OR 2 years of work experience.
