The Patient Access Associate 2 is responsible for performing a wide range of administrative and customer service tasks to support efficient patient flow and accurate information management. Key responsibilities include reception, pre-registration, registration, switchboard operations, and collecting essential patient demographics, physician orders, and insurance information. This role schedules patient appointments, completes follow‑up tasks, and conducts advanced scheduling for specialized facility tests, ensuring coordination of all required services. The Patient Access Associate 2 assists with verifying insurance benefit levels, obtaining pre‑authorizations, and communicating patient financial obligations in collaboration with the Financial Counselor. The position ensures compliance with all applicable standards, guidelines, and procedures through timely and accurate follow‑up. This is a Float position, with primary responsibilities in the Central Scheduling department when not assigned to other areas of Patient Access.
