About The Position

The Pathways Director shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost. This position is part of the World Missions Leadership Team (WMLT). The Pathways Director serves World Missions (WM) by providing oversight and alignment for all specialized pathways.

Requirements

  • Profess salvation in Christ and have maintain a vital, personal relationship with God.
  • Embrace and live out The Navigators Calling, Core Values, Vision, and Statement of Faith.
  • Is a Navigator Representative and meets the character qualifications of the NavRep profile.
  • Heart for the nations and spiritual development with knowledge sufficient to lead others.
  • Prior experience living overseas
  • Live in Colorado Springs OR a minimum of two years’ experience working within the World Missions Home Team
  • Demonstrate Biblical principles and values in your family, with others, and with staff.
  • Act in the best interests of The Navigators in public and private life.
  • Is a team player.
  • Is led by, and sensitive to, the Holy Spirit.
  • Demonstrate ability to raise approved budget.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with at least one of the Pathways is preferred (but not required)
  • Working knowledge of how the WWP operates is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, oversight, and alignment to the teams of World Missions specialized Pathways (including but not limited to D4D, Missional Enterprise, EDU, etc)
  • Work closely with the International Mobilization(iMob) and Training teams to ensure healthy and effective integration from pre-field to post field engagement.
  • Build an effective team filling necessary roles in collaboration with the WMLT.
  • Serve on the WMLT including bi-annual offsite meetings.
  • Consider how to best integrate and align all WM processes toward ensuring a good experience for senders, goers and receivers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with people and teams throughout the U.S. work.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the Pathway teams who provide specialized training for goers being sent through a particular pathway.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Receivers to ensure an understanding of the country and regional ministry strategy.
  • Ensure that all employment realities are tracked and maintained (ie HR, benefits, finances, etc).
  • Help team leaders and teams identify creative solutions for complex circumstances.
  • Attend and contribute to Family Gathering as appropriate.
  • Raise support to meet 100% of personal and ministry budgets.
  • Maintain communication with donors: phone and make appointments with potential donors, write and send regular newsletters, maintain personal contact with donors, churches and potential donors.
  • Monitor account balance monthly and discuss with supervisor.
  • Participate in annual processes, such as the organizational Plan and Progress Review (PPR), Engagement Survey, Reaffirmation of the Navigators Code of Conduct, Calling-Core Values-Vision, Statement of Faith, Driver’s Authorization, and other releases as required.
  • Complete monthly expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
