There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.
Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is excited to announce an opportunity for individuals interested in starting a career in the electrical trades through our Pathway to Apprenticeship (PTA) Program. This program is designed for those who are eager to learn and grow within the energy sector, providing a hands-on experience that can lead to rewarding apprenticeship opportunities. As a PTA candidate, you will be part of a dynamic team where you will gain valuable insights into the operations of PSE while working alongside a diverse group of professionals. The PTA positions are entry-level roles that serve as a stepping stone into various apprenticeship programs offered by PSE, including Substation Wire, Hydro Electrician, Hydro Mechanic, Electric Meter, and Combustion Turbine Specialist. In this role, you will have the chance to familiarize yourself with the tools of the trade and the standards and practices of the company. As openings for apprenticeships arise, they will be filled based on seniority from the pool of employees holding PTA positions. This is a unique opportunity to not only learn about the energy sector but also to develop a strong foundation for a future career in the electrical trades. The application process includes taking the National Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (NJATC) test, and successful candidates will be invited for interviews based on their test scores and qualifications. The deadline for applications is September 20, 2024, and the NJATC test is scheduled for October 24, 2024, in Bellevue, WA.
