About The Position

Works independently to receive and process specimens received from producers, clinics/floors, operation rooms, and emergency departments. This includes, and is not limited to, verifying specimen identity, accessioning/data entry, routing/biopsy grossing, and intra-operative/intra-procedure processing. Maintains the pathology lab section, manages inventory, and handles all shipping/receiving functions.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree Clinical Lab Science (Medical Technology), Biological, Chemical, Physical, or Life Sciences with at least 60 credits from an accredited institution. Must include 24 credits of related clinical laboratory science/medical technology courses or 6 credits in chemistry, 6 credits in biology and 12 additional credits in a combination of chemistry, biology or medical lab technology Required
• 1 year experience in Pathology Preferred
