Under the supervision of the Histology Supervisor, performs a variety of duties involved in the registration, accessioning, identification and processing of Pathology specimens according to established methods and procedures to include staining, storage of specimens, operation of equipment used in the preparation of liquid based GYN/Non-GYN specimens, and operation of equipment used in the H-E/IHC staining of surgical specimens. Under the general supervision of the pathology supervisor and medical direction of the Pathologist, performs duties to assist in the gross dissection of specimens, frozen section slide staining. Education Two years of formal training or education beyond the high school level (e.g., Associates Degree). Certification, Registration & Licensure None required. Experience One year experience in related job required. Experience in a clinical pathology laboratory preferred.
